Update on the Women 4 Tech Summit at MWC 2017

Women4Tech is the GSMA initiative that focuses on addressing gender equality and diversity in the sector, and seeks to build and strengthen professional communities and networks. Women4Tech is proud to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, in particular SDG 5: “to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls”, and will be running a one day Summit at MWC 2017, on Thursday 2nd March in Hall 8.

Join us to hear from a varied line up of speakers who will all be discussing how to address current challenges around gender equality, specifically focusing on four key areas:

1. Women Empowering Technology: Equality, Human Resources & Career Development

Senior leaders will discuss integrating gender equality into the mainstream of our work environments, sharing best practices and strategic advice on how to empower gender diversity in the workplace.

2. Women Encouraging Technology: Mentorship, Coaching, Education & Youth

Overcoming the challenges facing female career choices in technology starts with educating our youth and continues with inspiring role models, thought leaders and career mentoring relationships.

3. Women Transforming Technology: Communication & Media, Business Verticals

Women Transforming Technology is at the crossroads of marketing and technology. They are pushing the needle toward making the most profitable design, marketing and product decisions.

4. Women Innovating in Technology: Entrepreneurship, Business Development & Startups

Gender diversity has specific relevance in the tech industry because it enables better teams, better complex problem solving and increased innovation.
